Fulham reach agreement for Manor Solomon in first of many summer deals

Fulham have completed a deal to sign Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk with the Cottagers set to invest heavily in their squad this summer, 90min understands.

Solomon has had a challenging few months following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February. After war broke out and domestic football was suspended, he left the country via Poland.

He finally got back to playing with Israel during the recent international break, with the winger indicating that he did not intend to return to Shakhtar.

90min can confirm that Fulham have since agreed a deal to sign Solomon. The Cottagers are set to pay an initial £5m for his services, but the agreement also includes add-ons and a sell-on percentage. UEFA have sanctioned the sale, so there should not be any further problems.

Solomon will sign a five-year contract and will officially become a Fulham player when the transfer window opens in July. However, it is likely that he arrives in London before then in order to secure accomodation.

Sources close to Fulham have told 90min that they are delighted to secure a player of Solomon's reputation. Although he struggled somewhat this season, the 22-year-old managed nine Premier Liga goals in 23 appearances last campaign, and has been linked with Arsenal in the past.

Clubs from Germany and France were also interested in the player but he opted to join Fulham instead. He has been identified as a replacement or Fabio Carvalho, the wonderkid who Liverpool agreed a deal to sign recently.

Marco Silva's side have all but confirmed their promotion to the Premier League, as they currently sit 10 points clear at the top of the Championship table with six games left to play.

90min understands that Fulham's owners will back Silva heavily in the transfer market this summer, with Solomon expected to be the first of many transfers.
