The former Republic of Ireland boss said: "Roy's done a great job. We were both in Australia last summer during pre-season and you look at the number of games Fulham have played since then. Roy has to be in contention but then so has Alex McLeish at Birmingham.
"Fulham have got some good players like Damien Duff, Zoltan Gera and Danny Murphy - and Roy gets the best out of them."
