"I'd love to stay," Bullard is quoted as telling the News of the World.
"I've got 18 months on my current deal but I'm in talks with the club and hope to get it sorted.
"I love the club and they have been brilliant for me. But I was injured for 16 months so I know how quickly things can go wrong."
