The Dutch international keeper, who has just peeend a new deal at Craven Cottage, made two exceptional penalty saves to keep Fulham in the game at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night.

"It wasn't a great performance but we kept fighting all the way and got the vital goal at the death," Coleman said.

"We've got a good result on a night when I didn't think it was going to happen for us.

"Edwin Van der Sar was great. His concentration was superb and when he pulled off the second save I started to think we might still have a chance.

"However, I looked at the clock and there were 60 seconds left and I thought our chance had passed us but then Clarkey comes up with a magnificent strike and earns us a point.

"For some reason we don't play very well against Aston Villa. They always work hard and don't give us any time but we'll take this point as it continues our unbeaten run."
