Coleman Rues Missed Chances

In a tight affair at Goodison Park, Fulham soaked up the home sides pressure until Duncan Fergusons goal 23 minutes from time gave Everton all three points.

"I thought we competed well with Everton and the game was always going to be won in the middle of the park," Coleman said after the game.

"We worked hard and had some decent chances but at this level you've got to put those chances away.

"We got caught and gave away a silly goal and you can't leave someone with Duncan Ferguson's experience that much room in the box."
