Coleman: We Deserved It

The Fulham boss also singled out former Gunner Luis Boa Morte for special praise after the 2-1 success at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night.

"It's not often I come in from a game that I've really enjoyed, but I did that," Coleman said.

"We deserved it. We should have been three up at half-time and Boa Morte should have scored.

"We had to attack Arsenal and we could have had more goals. They caught us on the counter-attack but we fully deserved the win.

"That was the best performance I have seen from Fulham. It was better than beating Chelsea last season and when we beat Manchester United 3-1 at Old Trafford.

"It is easily the best performance I have seen since for so many reasons. We have come back from two defeats and done everything tremendously well from start to finish.

"I thought Boa was excellent. He has stayed with us and worked hard while all the other big-hitters have left and, when his neck is on the line, he always gives 100 per cent and that's why he is our captain.

"I'm not looking to sell him but it is the same as with any of my players. With Louis Saha, we didn't want to sell him, but the offer we received was too good to turn down. If we get a big offer from any club we always have to do what's right for the club."
