Concentration The Key - Murphy

The Fulham midfielder has warned against complacency following an impressive run of results in which they have been beaten only once in eight games.

"I think what's important is that when there is a little breakaway of clubs, we're not one of the ones heading downwards and the only way to do that is to maintain a level of performance," he told the official Fulham website.

"There are some games coming up over Christmas that we feel we can win, but of course, it's not all going to be plain sailing, it never is.

"One week we might play well and lose, the next we might play awfully and win, who knows?

"But the one thing that's for sure is that we're all very aware of what happened last season and we know that come January, after the busy Christmas period, it will be a good indicator of how the rest of the season is going to pan out.

"We just need to concentrate, not so much on the teams below and above us, but on ourselves, because by playing to the levels we have done recently, I think we will continue to pick up points.

"The main thing is not to become too complacent and comfortable with the fact that we've had some good results and that we're in a reasonably comfortable position in the table, because it can easily turn."
