The 34-year-old French mdfielder who joined Fulham on loan for the remainder of the season on transfer window deadline day, believes he was not given a chance to show his capabilities to Milan boss Jose Mourinho.

"I worked really hard during training and Mourinho's training methods are excellent," Dacourt has told Corriere dello Sport.

"It's a shame he never gave me a chance to play, even though I was told I would get one.

"I always gave 100 per cent, but I was never taken into consideration for the first team.

"I never argued with Mourinho, but evidently we had different ideas. That's the way things go.

"I would probably have had more chances under Roberto Mancini because he knew me very well.

"It's hard to leave Inter because I loved it there and I want to thank the Moratti family for the two great seasons when I won Scudetti."
