The Cottagers midfielder was substituted just before half-time in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea with a tight hamstring strain although Coleman expects Davis to have recovered in time for the visit of the Southampton to Loftus Road on Boxing Day.
"I took Sean off because I didn't want to risk him tearing anything," Coleman said after the Chelsea game.
