Double Gameweek 19 presents the toughest captain decision in quite some time.

Many will still opt to go with the guaranteed goals of Erling Haaland, but there's a number of appealing options elsewhere that have two fixtures - something that is bound to appeal if you're an FPL boss looking for a differential.

So what options are on the table?

Erling Haaland vs Chelsea (A)

As always, Erling Haaland still has to dominate the conversation.

Since the restart he’s broken the record for the fastest player to 20 Premier League goals and bizarrely, only Harry Kane scored more goals in the league in 2022 than Haaland, despite the Norwegian only making his debut in August.

The numbers speak for themselves, with Haaland scooping four goals in his last four games. You would expect Haaland to score against Chelsea, but a big fantasy return could be more challenging. He has scored in five of his six away starts this season, but blanked against Liverpool at Anfield who are a similar calibre of opponent.

Aleksandar Mitrovic vs Leicester (A) & Chelsea (H)

Ordinarily, given the tough fixture for Haaland this week, the advice would be straightforward: take the risk on Fulham’s Mitrovic for the Double Gameweek. The problem though is that Mitrovic is one yellow card away from a suspension, so if he is booked against Leicester City he would miss the Chelsea game and so only have a single gameweek.

It is probably worth the gamble, as Mitrovic has got the easier fixture locked in and remains in excellent form. Marco Silva has also stated in his press conference that the Serb will still be on penalties, despite the miss in injury time against Southampton last time around. He has scored ten goals in 14 appearances this season.

Mohamed Salah vs Brentford (A)

There's many other players available for double gameweeks, but you'd be made of strong stuff to overlook Mohamed Salah despite his recent lack of goals. He did bag one against Villa as well as grabbing an assist, and does seem to be getting into the right areas again; seven shots on goals and five chances created attests to that.

Liverpool lead the way for shots on target (14) since the restart and with their defence struggling, clearly their attacking potency is crucial. This fixture ended in a 3-3 draw last season, with Salah getting on the scoresheet, and Darwin Nunez's good form could lead to a significant points boost if the chances start to be converted into goals.
