After two years groundsharing at Loftus Road, chairman Mohamed Al Fayed has confirmed that the club will begin playing their home games at an upgraded Craven Cottage from the beginning of next season.

Work on the ground, which will accommodate 22,000 fans, is expected to be completed in July 2004.

Plans are still in place to build a new ground.

"I am delighted to fulfil the dearest wish of our fans to take us home - albeit temporarily," The Fulham chairman said.

"Craven Cottage has a warm place in my heart. Its beautiful riverside setting gives it a special atmosphere and it is closely bound up with the history of this great club."
