The Fulham boss has already outlined his intentions to bring a young keeper to the club with both Van der Sar and Mark Crossley on the wrong side of 30-years-old.
"We need to look at someone younger who is going to do a job for us in the long-term future," Coleman said last week.
"We've still got Mark for another year but even if we keep both of them I still want to bring in another keeper.
"We have our eye on a few young keepers but I'm not going to mention names because they are playing for other clubs and I wouldn't like any of my players being named by another manager."
