The Guardian report that Roy Hodgson's legacy at Fulham has been further strengthened by their promotion to the big league of European clubs.

As a result of Fulham's success in the Europa League last season, Alistair Mackintosh was invited to make an application for associate membership of the European Clubs Association.

At the ECA congress this week Fulham became the 10th Premier League club to acquire membership alongside this season's Champions League contingent, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Everton.
