Fulham are positive that goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will sign a new deal.

The 37-year old Australian international was seeking a Craven Cottage departure in the European summer transfer window a few months back and was also said to be keen to leave the club this January or at the end of the season.

But Cottagers boss Mark Hughes was confident that the former Middlesbrough man would remain with the club.

"We've been talking with Mark in recent weeks and, hopefully, we'll soon have some good news about his future,'' Hughes said. "We are confident he is going to be our keeper.''
