"Diomansy Kamara was fantastic," Hodgson said after the match.
"He has missed a lot of the year through injury but since coming back he has been very, very good.
"He has had to wait for his chance but it was nice that he took it with both hands today. He got us two goals and a penalty.
"He played with great discipline and was a constant thorn in Villa's side."
