Hodgson Upset With Derby Draw

Fulham had come back from a goal down to take a 2-1 lead with 12 minutes left, but 90 seconds later Derby were level.

"We could have won it and, of course, we're all disappointed at having scored a late goal which could have easily have been the winner, only to let Derby straight back in," Hodgson said after the 2-2 draw which saw The Rams relegated to the Championship.

"We won't be the last team to commit the cardinal sin. It's something we as coaches preach and warn players about, but it is an emotional game.

"Unfortunately in the euphoria of seeing a potential victory late in the game, they switch off for a few seconds and make a mistake and suddenly it's back to parity."
