Aberdeen's Kevin McNaughton is on trial at Fulham.

The Scotland international is expected to leave on a Bosman in the summer, if he's not snapped up in January.

But Fulham boss Chris Coleman wants to have a closer look at the player before committing the club to a bid.

Dons boss Jimmy Claderwood explained: "Kevin will go to Fulham on Sunday evening and return on Thursday morning so they can take a closer look at him.

"Willie Miller (Aberdeen director of football) and I have been in the game long enough to realise we can't stand in the way of an opportunity like this.

"But Fulham know, if they want to take him directly from us, then it will cost them.

"Kevin will go to London until Thursday and the situation will become clearer when he returns."
