Kean Defends Penalty Decision

Fulham's assistant boss also defended the penalty decision that saved the side from defeat.

He said: "Edwin says he was trying to get out of the way. Louis (Saha) tried to push the ball past him and it's question of whether Louis banged into Edwin or the other way around.

"If it was at the other end we would have been screaming for it, I admit that. But it was one of those things that can go either way.

"In the end we were disappointed not to win because we put them under real pressure at the end and I thought we could have nicked it.

"When we saw the United team-sheet it gave us all a lift and we knew that if we went out there and stuck to our game plan we could get something out of the game."
