McBride takes an elbow as USA hang on

After a poor defeat by the Czech Republic in the opening game the Americans, with only 9 men, held 10 man Italy to a 1 - 1 draw.

The Italians had their player sent off for the damaged caused to Brian McBride (right).

The USA must beat Ghana in their final game to have any hope of progressing.
