McBride wins Player of the Year award

The main award of Player of the Year went to Brian McBride. The striker beat off competition from Steed Malbranque to win the award.

Malbranque did not go away empty handed though. He picked up Performance of the Season for his role in the 2 - 0 home win over Liverpool.

Collins John took the Goal of the Season award for his effort against Middlebrough at the Riverside.
