Melville praise for youngster

Leacock was making his first-team debut at right back in the Worthington Cup tie at the JJB stadium and Melville thought the youngster put in a gallant performance despite the disappointing 2-1 defeat.

"Deano had a very good game against Wigan," said the Fulham team captain.

"For the youngest player on the pitch to be one of our best players says something. It was a very assured performance."
