Newcastle boss Chris Hughton wouldn't mind landing Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara on loan to provide cover for the injured Shola Ameobi.
Ameobi will be sidelined until December with a stress fracture of the foot, this leaves the Magpies with one fit striker.
28 year old Kamara is out of favour at Craven Cottage and Hughton concedes the Senegal international has come into his thinking.
"Kamara is one of numerous names we've thought about," he said.
"He scored a lot of goals for West Brom in this division and is a very good player."
