"You can't afford to nod off and lose your men like we did three times against a good side like Liverpool because you will get punished.

"We came here and competed very well and there have been times when Edwin Van der Sar was a lot busier and we've come away and won the game.

"You expect Liverpool to have a lot of possession, but for me the overall performance was quite good.

"If I'm honest I've seen Liverpool play a lot better, but they got the result.

"The last three or four games we've had them watched and we know that in the Charlton game they were very impressive, so we knew they could turn it on even though they've not had the best of runs of late."
