Premier League team of the week - round 27

Yes, believe it or not, there are still actually gameweeks splitting up the football.

It certainly doesn't feel that way with the constant stream of football we're getting from just about every angle, but between that and the weekly big shop, there's not much else to do currently.

The sheer unpredictability of the Premier League has admittedly died off somewhat in the last few weeks with teams feeling the effects of an endless fixture schedule, but there are still a number of big results and top performances to pick out.

For the sake of keeping some structure to everyone's lives, 90min has highlighted the best of the bunch and knocked up a team of the week from round 27.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Emi Martinez (GK) - Had little to do against Wolves but was suddenly called into action towards the end of the game, pulling out a ridiculous save to deny Conor Coady and hold onto a point for Aston Villa.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) - Criticise his attacking output all you like, but the 23-year-old kept Raheem Sterling silent in yet another Manchester derby which was key in Manchester United's 2-0 win.

Craig Dawson (CB) - A header against Leeds secured the three points for West Ham and gave Craig Dawson his third league goal of the season. Clean sheet, too.

Tosin Adarabioyo (CB) - The Fulham defender put in an unbelievable shift for his side, making a heroic 17 clearances to ensure that the Cottagers left Anfield with all three points. Massive performance.

Luke Shaw (LB) - One of the most improved players across all of Europe this season, Shaw picked the right time to score his first ever Premier League away goal, coming up clutch in the derby.

2. Midfielders

Mario Lemina (CM) - Popped up with a winner against Liverpool, and what a strike it was. Lemina's goal might prove to be one of the most important goals Fulham score this season.

Jorginho (CM) - Another incredible performance from Jorginho who looks a completely different animal for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel. Everton couldn't get near him, and he tucked away another goal from 12 yards.

Kai Havertz (AM) - Okay, it's cheating a bit because Havertz played as a false nine against the Toffees, but any excuse to get him in the side. Harsh not to be awarded a goal that went down as an own goal, and was excellent throughout. Finally showed what he is capable of in an advanced role.

3. Forwards

Gareth Bale (RW) - We're a Tinie Tempah song and some white sock tape away from Gareth Bale curling us back into 2013. The Welshman is in the groove, and fired again for Tottenham with a fine brace against Crystal Palace.

Harry Kane (ST) - More than just a scorer, Kane provided the assist for Bale twice before bagging a goal for himself. It's a duo Spurs fans have dreamt about for years.

Che Adams (LW) - Scored a fabulous half volley to secure the points for Southampton in their 2-0 win over Sheffield United. Two keepers don't save that. So sweet.
