Liverpool have joined Newcastle and Manchester City in the race to sign Fulham's Steed Malbranque.
The goalscoring midfielder will only be allowed to leave Craven Cottage should Fulham receive a sizeable bid, so buying clubs can forget trying to land the player on the cheap.Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier was heavily linked with a move for his compatriot a couple of year ago, but it seems that Rafa Benitez has revived the Reds' interest in the star.
