A complex transfer triangle is emerging, involving Man United, Arsenal, Newcastle, Spurs and Fulham.
Controversy surrounding the future of Jermaine Jenas could lead to the sale of Luis Boa Morte to Newcastle.
If indeed the unhappy Jenas is sold for £10m to Spurs, Arsenal or Manchester United, Newcastle are likely to return to Craven Cottage with an improved offer for Boa Morte.
The Portuguese speed king is valued at £5m at least, but so far Newcastle have only offered £3m.
The possible sale of Jenas will give Newcastle more cash to spend in the transfer market.
