"We showed a lot of bottle to come back the way we did in the second half against a team which is flying in the Premiership," said Coleman after the 2-2 draw at Loftus Road.
"The players were devastated at the end, but they shouldn't be too disappointed - we've got a point in the bank.
"I'm delighted for the players. They are a great bunch of lads and I can't ask for any more from them. I have belief in their ability and they should believe in themselves as well. I was proud of the way they performed in the second half.
"They showed determination and grit. It was disappointing not to finish with the win, but the players did all they could to win it."
