"I spoke to him last night and he's enjoyed his time down there and is willing to speak to them if the offer is right," Craig Liddle, head of youth at Darlington, has told the Northern Echo.
"If he can keep his head right he's got a chance of making it.
"I've spent a lot of time with him and he's come on leaps and bounds in the last year.
"I'd be sad to see him go because he's a young player that I've spent a lot of time with over the last year, not just on the training pitch but off it as well.
"But if it's going to help the club survive then we'll gladly see him go."
