Fulham are close to signing Australia international Ahmad Elrich.

The 23-year-old is rated as one of Australia's most promising young players,  and has also attracted interest from Birmingham and Blackburn.

The pacey right winger was born in Australia but is of Lebanese descent, has not played any club football since last November after he walked out on Korean side Busan Icons following a contract dispute.

Elrich impressed while on trial at Craven Cottage, and now Fulham are now keen to sign Elrich for around £250,000.

Elrich's agent, Dean Sheehan said: "Fulham like what they have seen and Ahmad is very happy.

"We are now waiting for the two clubs to agree terms and we hope that will be done within the next few days."
