Premier League goals of the week: Gameweek 12

Just the nine games of Premier League action for the 12th round of fixtures. 18 teams took to the field, ten of which failed to score.

The pickings for the midweek action's best goals is slim, to say the least, but there are still a handful of strikes we'd be happy to watch over and over again.

Let's dive in.

1. Miguel Almiron vs Everton

What a tear this man is on.

Miguel Almiron has four goals in his last four Premier League games, having only scored ten in the previous 117.

His latest was another sensational effort, curling the ball in from the edge of the box to fire Newcastle to victory.

2. Darwin Nunez vs West Ham

A classy header from Darwin Nunez but this one is all about the assist.

Kostas Tsimikas sent in a gorgeous cross which was just begging to be headed home, and the Uruguayan duly obliged to bag his first home goal for Liverpool.

Still, it had nothing on that James Milner block, though.

3. Bruno Fernandes vs Tottenham

Like everyone else in red, Bruno Fernandes had his best game of the season against Tottenham.

He capped off a fine performance with a perfectly placed strike that boasted the kind of quality needed to beat Hugo Lloris in the sort of form he was.

Not a bad way to grab your second goal of the season.

4. Harrison Reed vs Aston Villa

Harrison Reed gave in to his inner shooooot as he plucked the ball out of the air and sent it flying back at the Aston Villa goal.

Some excellent control to set himself, followed by an arrow of a strike which set Fulham away to a massive 3-0 victory.

Having waited 109 appearances for a first Fulham goal, Reed now has two in his last five games.

5. Harvey Barnes vs Leeds

The ball movement for this strike from Harvey Barnes was real fun to watch.

Three first-time flicks in a row saw Leicester breeze through the Leeds back line, and nobody loves a sight of the Whites' goal quite like Barnes, who was never going to miss.

A huge result for Brendan Rodgers.
